Overview

As you know, our weight can fluctuate quite a bit, so it is important to measure for your current size and not what you think is estimated to fit. This is the only way we can ensure there will be no size issues as the charts provided on all product pages are measured by hand and accurate.

Below is our general size chart that we follow, though slimmer-fitting and looser-fitting styles may measure differently due to design differences. We recommend using this size chart as a frame of reference to help you better understand where you fall in between all our available sizes from Small to Extra-Large.

For all measurements, please make sure not to wrap the measuring tape too tightly. It should sit comfortably at the length when you are breathing out and relaxed. Hold the measuring tape in place, with it parallel to the floor to ensure a uniform measurement. Any sagging from the measuring tape from it being held at an angle will ultimately affect your results. We do recommend measuring twice to be sure your number is the same. Our charts will typically feature these measurements:

BUST

The measurement of your chest/bust is used for clothing articles such as our tops and dresses. To ensure you are measuring your bust correctly, take one end of your measuring tape and wrap it around the fullest part of your chest while making sure that the tape is still parallel to the floor. The tape should go under our arm and back out to meet the tip. It is more accurate to measure based on this method than to go by your bra size. As you know, the cup size does not indicate a consistent sizing as the band can differ per person. As a result, we recommend you use this measurement to gauge if a shirt or dress is a good fit. When asking for help on what size would best fit you, please indicate your chest size thought inches/cm and not bra size.

WAIST

The measurement of your waist is used for clothing articles such as our tops, dresses and pants. To find an accurate measurement of your waist, we recommend targeting your ‘natural waist’. This is also known as the narrowest part of your waist. This is typically around the area that is below your rib cages but above your belly button. When measuring your waist, please ensure that you are breathing out when you take down the number. This will help with a more accurate reading as it measures the maximum width you need.

HIP

The measurement of your hip is used for clothing articles such as our bottoms and dresses. To get an accurate measurement for your hips, you will have to stand upright first and foremost. Keep your legs together and take one end of the measuring tape and place it on where you think is the fullest part of your hips. Make sure the measuring take is parallel to the floor and goes over your buttocks. Going over your hip bones, you will now meet the measuring tape back to where it started. This measurement can be tricky when done alone, so we recommend asking a friend to help if this makes it easier for you!

As a result, we highly recommend checking the specific product description for a more accurate size chart and fit description. Description

The Starfruit Chain Pocket Detail Asymmetrical Denim Short is the latest edition to our denim line! After much success from our best selling Peppercorn Double Strap Denim Shorts, we knew that we had to create something that matched the same edgy energy as our last famous streetwear denim shorts. Our Starfruit shorts are a light grey acid wash denim short that is made from 100% cotton to ensure breathability and comfort, which is always our priority. The waistband of the short has an asymmetrical finish which rides higher on one side than the side of the waistband that overlaps the button. This detail creates an interesting high waisted denim short appeal that gives the shorts some character. These denim shorts not only feature functional pockets, but they’re actually really deep too! The back of the denim also features two functional pockets as well. If that wasn’t enough, you’ll be happy to hear that Starfruit actually comes with an additional detachable oversized pocket that is hooked through the belt loops. The denim shorts are finished off with a raw distressed edge cut that is folded at the bottom. We gotta say though, our favorite thing about the Starfruit Pocket Asymmetrical Denim Short is the slim fit and the fact that it will complement your booty even if you don’t have one.

Im a size 1 in woman’s pants and medium works best for me. The waist is bigger but Id rather they fit my legs and butt. I think that the material would be better if they had some stretch and that might help with sizing. Ive gotten compliments and these are a cute pair of shorts.

Size small on the Peppercorn Doublestrap Denim Shorts fit me perfectly, but medium of Starfruit Chain Pocket Detail Asymetrical Denim Shorts fit me too small. They didn't make it past my thighs 😪. Lychee Support, however was awesome in helping me exchange.

They run smaller than size

They're ok, material's a little thin and stretchy compared to Earl Grey Macaron jean shorts

For starters, they used to sell Earl Grey Macaron Folded Reflective Suspender Shorts. These had thick denim material and I loved them. For starfruit, I ordered an XL and I'm a 29" waist. XL is recommended for 32" They're baggy (expected since I'm at the edge of an L). They're baggy enough I could probably pull them off buttoned since it's stretchier than denim. The material was much much thinner than the blue denim from the Earl Grey Macaron jean shorts, but they're not cheap quality.

Cute but to small still, couldn’t get it past the hips. My fault though probably.

Tomb raider ready

I love these shorts ! Love pairing these with the Tactical Belt (& the Ramen Top for that Lara Croft/Tomb Raider feel/look !) I was expecting them to be stiff based on other reviews, but they are actually soft and comfortable ! I'm in love with the detachable pocket, I wish more shorts had these so you can add them to the many bottoms that have no pockets, a true lifesaver 🙏 ! I have thicker thighs/hips and I got these in a Medium and they are snug but comfortable !

These shorts are awesome

They fit perfectly and look ultra cute. The only complaint I have is that the zipper is a little sticky… it doesn’t slide the way a brand new zipper usually feels but other than that, it’s a great piece! I would still buy again. :)
